Jordan grew up in a dancing family and started dancing at the age of 10 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He started competing at the age of 11. Inspired by his uncle Edward Simon, a U.S. Professional Champion dancer as well as a co-founder of DTN, Jordan started professionally teaching and competing at 18. Jordan currently competes in the Professional Smooth division and has danced Professional Rhythm for many years prior.
Jordan's experience and knowledge in all parts of the ballroom industry are vast. Jordan has taught all levels of dancers from basic to extravagant wedding routines, beginners taking their first steps, to the highest levels of competitive dancing. He has competed throughout the country professionally and with his students. His favorite part of teaching is not only seeing his students get better in their ability to dance but also seeing new found confidence on and off the dance floor.
